AgilePoint NX Portal
AgilePoint NX Portal is the software that serves the AgilePoint NX UI.
The Portal can be referred to either in the context of a server-side or a UI software component. This is similar to the way "portal" can be used to refer to a user-facing website or as the server-side software that serves such a website.
Server-Side Portal
AgilePoint NX Portal runs on the AgilePoint Server machine and serves the AgilePoint NX UI. AgilePoint NX Portal mediates the connections between AgilePoint Server and external browsers and UI-based apps, such as the AgilePoint NX Mobile App. This includes serving web pages and handling authentication.
AgilePoint NX Portal was redesigned in AgilePoint NX v9.0 for improved performance and ease of administration.
UI Portal
Because AgilePoint NX Portal serves the web pages for the AgilePoint NX UI, it proivdes the UI container in the web browser. In this context, the entire AgilePoint NX UI, including all of the software components, menus, sign-in pages, and so on, are also commonly referred to as AgilePoint NX Portal.
