Creates a copy of an app.

Background and Setup

How to Start

  1. Click App Builder.

    Click App Builder
  2. On the App Builder Home screen, click All Apps.

    Click All Apps
  3. On the All Apps screen, on an app, click Edit Edit icon.

    Click Edit
  4. On the App Details screen, click Clone App Clone App icon.

    Click Clone App

Fields

Field NameDefinition

Selected App Name
Description:
Shows the name of the selected app to clone.
Allowed Values:
Read only.
Default Value:
The display name for your app.

New App Name
Description:
Specifies a name for your application clone.
Allowed Values:
One line of text (a string).

Accepted:

  • Letters
  • Numbers
  • Spaces
Default Value:
None

Choose App Details to Clone
Description:
Specifies the application clone details to clone.

Some application resource are mandatory to create the application clone. For others, you may need to configure the application resource again if you do not select to clone it.

Allowed Values:
  • Selected - Specifies to clone the resource to the new app.
  • Deselected - Specifies to not clone the resource to the new app.

Selected

Good to Know

  • You must assign a new name for the process models because you can not have more than one process model with the same name.

Description:
Shows the type of application resource.

Existing Name
Description:
Shows the name of a resource that exists in the app.
Allowed Values:
Read only.
Default Value:
The name of a resource.

New Name
Description:
Specifies the new name of the resource in the new app.

You must assign a new name for the process models because you can not have more than one process model with the same name.
