approval keyword

An approval keyword is a text string with no spaces that specifies an approval response. Approval keywords are used for text-based approvals, such as approvals using e-mail or SMS messages.

Approval keywords must have binary values, such as yes or no, which are considered as Boolean (True/False) by the AgilePoint NX system. When an approver responds to an approval task, they must enter the approval keyword exactly as it is specified in the approval message template. For example, if the approval keyword is specified in the approval template as Yes, but the participant enters Approved, the approval is ignored.

Example approval keywords:
  • Affirmative - Yes, Y, Approve, Approved, or True.
  • Negative - No, N, Reject, Rejected, Denied, or False.
