Entity Designers (permission group)

Entity Designers develop and enhance the entities over their lifecycle. Like Entity Owners, different entities can have different Entity Designers. Entity Designers work with stakeholders to design and develop the entities.

Note: The Application Designers and Citizen Developers roles apply to all apps and entities in a tenant. The App Designers and Entity Designers permission groups apply to specific apps and entities. If the AgilePoint NX Portal settings for permission groups are enabled for an AgilePoint NX tenant, the Application Designers and Citizen Developers roles are ignored, and only the App Designers and Entity Designers permission groups are considered for access to an app or entity. This means that if permission groups are enabled, you must configure permission groups in both App Builder and Data Entities.

Entity Designers (Permission Group)	Entity Designers configured in Data Entities is a permission group for users or groups who have access rights to change specific entities. Entity Designers can be assigned at the global level or for an individual entity: If Entity Designers are assigned in Manage Center, they have access to all entities. If Entity Designers are assigned in Page Builder, they have access to the individual entities where they are assigned. An AgilePoint NX tenant can have Entity Designers assigned at both the global level and assigned to individual entities. If a specific entity has one or more Entity Designers, this permission group overrides the Entity Designers configured in Manage Center. Permissions: Entity Designers have these permissions: View an entity in Data Entities. This only applies to entities where the user has Entity Designer permissions or higher. An Entity Designer assigned at the level of a specific entity can not view entities where they do not have Entity Designer permissions. Change custom entities. How to Start

Permission Groups for All Entities (Manage Center)

Click Manage.
In Manage Center, click App Management > Permissions.
On the Permissions screen, in the Data Entities Permissions section, select Entity Designers.

Permission Groups for Specific Entities (Data Entities)

Click Data Entities.
On the Data Entities Home screen, click Entities.
On the Entities screen, click an entity.
Click the Permissions tab.
On the Permissions tab, click Entity Designers.

Fields

Field Name	Definition
Search	Function: Does a search based on the specified permission group members.
Add Members	Opens this Screen: Available Members screen Function: Adds the specified users or groups to the Entity Designers permission group.
Delete	Function: Deletes the selected users or groups from the Entity Designers permission group. To Open this Field: Select one or more permission group members.
Audit Log	Opens this Screen: Audit Log screen Description: Shows the audit log for permission groups for entities in Data Entities.
Current Member	Description: Shows the members in the Entity Designers permission group. Allowed Values: Read only.
Type	Description: Shows the types of members in the Entity Designers permission group. Allowed Values: Read only.
Delete	Function: Deletes the specified user or group in the Entity Designers permission group.

Search Users / Search Groups	Description: Specifies whether to search users or groups to add to the permission group. Allowed Values: Search Users - Searches users to add for permission group. Search Groups - Searches groups to add for permission group.
Search	Function: Does a search based on the specified text. Example: Refer to: (Example) Add a Member to a Role (Example) Add Administrators

Audit Log screen

Shows the audit log for permission groups for entities in Data Entities.

Prerequisites

AgilePoint NX OnDemand (public cloud), or AgilePoint NX PrivateCloud or AgilePoint NX OnPremises v9.0 or higher.
