Creates one or more groups to associate with an app.

How to Start

  1. In App Builder, in the Modern Add an App Experience, create a form-based app.

    For more information, refer to:

  2. On the Anything else right now? screen, in the Groups and Roles field, click Create.
  3. Click the Groups tab.

Specifies the basic information for a group.

Fields

Field NameDefinition

Group Name

Function:
Specifies the name of your group.
Accepted Values:
One line of text that can have spaces.
Default Value:
None

Description

Function:
A description of the group.
Accepted Values:
More than one line of text.
Default Value:
None

Group Lead

Function:
Shows the name of the manager or head of the organizational unit for the group.
Accepted Values:
A group lead name from the list.
Default Value:
None

Adds the list of members in a group.

Function:
Does a search for the user to add to your group.

Function:
Adds members to a group.

Current Members

Function:
Shows the list of members added for a group.
Accepted Values:
Read only.
Default Value:
None

Type

Function:
Shows the type of members added for a group.
Accepted Values:
Read only.
Default Value:
None

Delete Remove icon

Function:
Deletes the member from the group list.
To Open this Field:
  1. Add a member to the group.

Search Roles

Function:
Lets you find the specified role.
Accepted Values:
A role name.

Select All

Function:
Selects all the fields on the tab.
Accepted Values:
  • Selected - Selects all the fields on the tab.
  • Deselected - Selects only the necessary fields.

Deselected

Role List

Function:
Specifies if you want to associate roles with a user.
Accepted Values:
  • Selected - Lets you to associate roles with a user.
  • Deselected - Does not let you associate roles with a user.
Default Value:
Deselected

Access Rights

Function:
Shows the permissions associated with all the active roles for the user.
Accepted Values:
Read only.
