Creates an entity field that is a copy of another entity field.

Prerequisites

Good to Know

  • The system supplies values to these standard fields. Therefore, you can not change values to these fields:
    • ID
    • Created Date
    • Last Modified Date
    • Created By
    • Last Modified By

How to Start

  1. Click App Builder.

    Build Apps screen
  2. On the App Explorer screen, click Data Entities.

    Click Data Entities Screen
  3. On the Data Entities Home screen, click Entities.

    Click Entities
  4. On the Entities screen, click an entity.

  5. On the Entity screen > Fields tab, in the entity field, click Ellipses (...) > Clone.

Fields

Field NameDefinition

Entity Name
Function:
Shows the name of the entity from which to clone the field.
Accepted Values:
Read only.

Field Name
Function:
Shows the name of the entity field to be cloned.
Accepted Values:
Read only.

Target Entity
Function:
Specifies the name of the target AgilePoint NX entity in which to create the field you clone.
Accepted Values:
An entity name from the list.
Default Value:
None

Cloned Field Display Name
Function:
Specifies the name for the entity field to show in AgilePoint NX.
Accepted Values:
One line of text that can have spaces.
Default Value:
None

Cloned Entity Name
Function:
Specifies the technical name for the entity field you cloned.

When you click the Cloned Entity Name field, it shows the value you entered in Cloned Field Display Name field with no spaces. This internal name becomes a table name in the database. After you create the Cloned Entity Name, you can not change it.

Accepted Values:
One line of text (a string) with no spaces.
Default Value:
None

Clone with relationship
Function:
Specifies whether to create a copy of the existing entity field that includes the relationships configured for the entity.
Accepted Values:
  • Selected - Creates a copy of the existing field that includes the relationships configured for the entity.
  • Deselected - Creates a copy of the existing field with no relationships.
Default Value:
Deselected

Cloned Relationship Name for
Function:
Specifies the name for the relationship you cloned to show in the entity.
Accepted Values:
One line of text that can have spaces.
Default Value:
None
