Sequential Tasks (eForms) activity

An activity that, when the process runs, shows a form made with eForms that must be completed by 1 or more participants in order. The activity is designed to be used as part of a loop in a process, so that the process flow returns to this activity until a sufficient number of participants have completed the task, or until some other condition ends the loop, and the process continues..

Good to Know

The functionality for the Parallel Tasks and Sequential Tasks activities are included in the Advanced Task activity. The Parallel and Sequential Tasks activities exist to support apps created in older versions of AgilePoint NX and AgilePoint BPMS. If you are creating a new app, or changing an existing app, use the Advanced Task activity.

In most text fields, you can use process data variables as an alternative to literal data values.
This section shows the configuration settings on the configuration screens for this activity. Other configuration settings apply to human task activities. For more information, refer to:
Use a Standard Task activity only if you do not want the form to start the process. If you want your form to start the process, use the Start Task (eForms) activity or Start Task (External Forms) activity.

How to Start

Open Process Builder.
For information about how to open this screen, refer to Process Builder.
In Process Builder, in the Activity Library, open the eForms tab.
On the eForms tab, drag the Sequential Tasks activity onto your process.

Procedure

On the Sequential Tasks Configuration screen, do one of these
- Select the form that exists.
- Create a new task form.
  1. Click Add New Form.
  2. Complete the fields on the Form Details screen.

Click General Configuration .
Complete the fields on the General Configuration screen.
(Optional) If you want to let a runtime app user submit the form with anonymous authentication, click Advanced > Anonymous Access .

(Optional) When the task changes status, you can send notifications using e-mail, Yammer, Salesforce Chatter, or SMS:
- To send an email notification, click Advanced > Email Notifications .
  For more information, refer to Email Notifications screen (Process Activities).
- To send a notification with Yammer, click Advanced > Yammer Notifications .
  For more information, refer to Yammer Notifications screen.
- To send a notification with Salesforce Chatter, click Advanced > Chatter Notifications .
  For more information, refer to Chatter Notifications screen.
- To send a notification with SMS, click Advanced > SMS Notifications .
  For more information, refer to SMS Notifications screen.

Creates a human task form for an app.

How to Start

App Builder (Process-Based App)

Click App Builder.
On the App Explorer screen, click [App Name] > Processes > [Process Name] > Forms > Task Forms.
Click New.

Process Builder

Open Process Builder.
For information about how to open this screen, refer to Process Builder.
In Process Builder, in the Activity Library, drag any human task activity onto your process.
On the eForm Configuration screen, click Add New Form.

Form Layouts	Function: Lets you choose a form layout to create a new form. Accepted Values: Blank Form - Lets you create a new form using blank form layout. Existing Form - Lets you create a new form using the form that is available in your app. Default Value: Blank Form

General Configuration

Specifies the general information for the Sequential Tasks activity.

Display Name	Function: Specifies the activity name that shows in your process. Accepted Values: One line of text that can have spaces. Time To Complete	Function: Specifies the maximum amount of time that should be allowed for the completion of the task associated with this activity before it is considered Overdue. This is a combination of a number of minutes, hours, days, or weeks. Accepted Values: A number of minutes, hours, days, or weeks. Default Value: 1 Day Accepts Process Data Variables: Yes
Priority	Function: Specifies the importance of a task. Accepted Values: High - Specifies a high priority task. A high priority task shows High icon. Normal - Specifies a normal priority task. A normal priority task shows Normal icon. Low - Specifies a low priority task. A low priority task shows Low icon. Default Value: Normal Accepts Process Data Variables: Yes
