An activity that change the access rights for a role in AgilePoint NX.

Configure the Edit Role activity

To configure the Edit Role activity, do the procedure in this topic.

Good to Know

To send an e-mail notification, click Advanced > E-mail Notifications .

In most text fields, you can use process data variables as an alternative to literal data values.
This activity does the same action as Change a Role in Manage Center.
You can configure whether this activity waits for other activities before it runs.

How to Start

On the Application Explorer screen, do one of these:
- Open a Process.
- Create a Process.
Do one of these:
- Add an activity:
  1. In the Process Builder, in the Activity Library, open the AgilePoint NX tab.
  2. On the AgilePoint NX tab, drag the Edit Role activity onto your process.
- Change an activity:
  1. In your process, double-click your activity.

Edit Role Configuration

Specifies the configuration to change a role in AgilePoint NX.

Fields

Field Name	Definition
AgilePoint	Function: Specifies the access token that connects to your AgilePoint NX. Accepted Values: A list of access tokens configured for your environment. Default Value: None Accepts Process Data Variables: No
Add Token	Opens this Screen: Access Token for AgilePoint NX Function of this Screen: Configure an access token to connect to AgilePoint NX.
Role Name	Function: Specifies the name of the role to change. Accepted Values: A role from the list. A process data variable. You can use Process Data screen to specify a process data variable. Default Value: None Accepts Process Data Variables: Yes
Description	Function: Shows the description of the role. Accepted Values: One line of text that can have spaces. A process data variable. You can use Process Data screen to specify a process data variable. Default Value: None Accepts Process Data Variables: Yes
Role Permission	Function: Shows all the list of access rights that you can give for a role. Accepted Values: An access control from the list. Default Value: None
Left Arrow	Function: Moves the selected fields from the Roles Permission box to the Selected Permission box.
Right Arrow	Function: Moves the selected fields from the Selected Permission box to the Roles Permission box.
Select All	Function: Selects all the fields.
Selected Permission	Function: Specifies the access rights for the role. Accepted Values: A list of access controls moved from the Roles Permission box using the Left Arrow button. To remove a access control from the list, select the column, and then click the Right Arrow button. Default Value: None
