Why Does the Error "Requested registry access is not allowed" Appear in SharePoint Integration?

Symptoms

This error shows in the SharePoint Integration logs:

Requested registry access is not allowed.

Cause

This error indicates AgilePoint SharePoint Integration is trying and failing to access the Event Log. This problem occurs because the user account that you used to log on does not have sufficient permissions.

Resolution

To fix this issue, provide the SPImpersonator account and the SharePoint Application pool account access to the Event Log.
