How to Start

  1. Open Process Builder.

    For information about how to open this screen, refer to Process Builder.


    Open Process Builder
  2. In Process Builder, in the Activity Library, open the Okta tab.

  3. On the Okta tab, drag the Set Password activity onto your process.

Function:
Specifies the access token that connects to your Okta service.
Accepted Values:
A list of access tokens configured for your environment.
Default Value:
None

Opens this Screen:
Access Token for Okta.
Function of this Screen:
Configure an access token to connect to Okta.

User Name Or Email Address

Function:
Specifies the name or email address of the Okta user for whom to set the password.
Accepted Values:
  • An user name from the list.

    When you select the access token from the Okta field, this field shows the Okta user names associated with the access token.

  • One line of text (a string) in email address format.

    The email adresses must be associated with an Okta user.

Change Password / Reset Password

Function:
Specifies whether to reset the password of the Okta user.
Accepted Values:
  • Change Password - Changes the password for the user.
  • Reset Password - Sends a password reset email to the user to set the password.

Old Password

Function:
Specifies the current password for the Okta user account.
To Open this Field:
  1. On the Set Password Configuration screen, select Change Password.
Accepted Values:
An alphanumeric string that represents a password.

New Password

Function:
Specifies the password for the Okta user account.
To Open this Field:
  1. On the Set Password Configuration screen, select Change Password.
Accepted Values:
An alphanumeric string that represents a password.

Send Password Reset Email

Function:
Specifies whether to send a password reset email to the Okta user to set the password.
To Open this Field:
  1. On the Set Password Configuration screen, select Reset Password.
Accepted Values:
  • Deselected - Stores the URL to reset the password in a varaible specified in the Store Reset Password Link In This Variable field.
  • Selected - Sends a password reset email to the Okta user.

Function:
Specifies the process data variable to store the URL to reset the password from Okta.
To Open this Field:
  1. On the Set Password Configuration screen, select Reset Password.
  2. Deselect Send Password Reset Email.
