Set Password activity

An activity that sets the password for a user in Okta.

Configure the Set Password activity

Prerequisites

AgilePoint NX OnDemand (public cloud), or AgilePoint NX Private Cloud or AgilePoint NX OnPremises v8.0 Software Update 2 or higher.

To send an email notification, click Advanced > Email Notifications .

How to Start

Open Process Builder.
For information about how to open this screen, refer to Process Builder.
In Process Builder, in the Activity Library, open the Okta tab.
On the Okta tab, drag the Set Password activity onto your process.

Set Password Configuration

Specifies the information to set the password for a user in Okta.

Fields

Field Name	Definition
Okta	Function: Specifies the access token that connects to your Okta service. Accepted Values: A list of access tokens configured for your environment. Default Value: None
Create	Opens this Screen: Access Token for Okta. Function of this Screen: Configure an access token to connect to Okta.
User Name Or Email Address	Function: Specifies the name or email address of the Okta user for whom to set the password. Accepted Values: An user name from the list. When you select the access token from the Okta field, this field shows the Okta user names associated with the access token. One line of text (a string) in email address format. The email adresses must be associated with an Okta user. Default Value: None Accepts Process Data Variables: Yes Limitations: Some information about third-party integrations is outside the scope of the AgilePoint NX Product Documentation. Change Password / Reset Password	Function: Specifies whether to reset the password of the Okta user. Accepted Values: Change Password - Changes the password for the user. Reset Password - Sends a password reset email to the user to set the password. Default Value: Change Password
Old Password	Function: Specifies the current password for the Okta user account. To Open this Field: On the Set Password Configuration screen, select Change Password. Accepted Values: An alphanumeric string that represents a password. Default Value: None Accepts Process Data Variables: Yes
New Password	Function: Specifies the password for the Okta user account. To Open this Field: On the Set Password Configuration screen, select Change Password. Accepted Values: An alphanumeric string that represents a password. Default Value: None Accepts Process Data Variables: Yes
Send Password Reset Email	Function: Specifies whether to send a password reset email to the Okta user to set the password. To Open this Field: On the Set Password Configuration screen, select Reset Password. Accepted Values: Deselected - Stores the URL to reset the password in a varaible specified in the Store Reset Password Link In This Variable field. Selected - Sends a password reset email to the Okta user. Default Value: Selected
Store Reset Password Link In This Variable	Function: Specifies the process data variable to store the URL to reset the password from Okta. To Open this Field: On the Set Password Configuration screen, select Reset Password. Deselect Send Password Reset Email. Accepted Values: A process data variable that accepts a URL.
