Prerequisites

How to Start

  1. Click Manage.

    Click Manage
  2. In Manage Center, click App Builder > eForms Settings.

    Click eForms Settings
  3. On the eForms Settings screen, click Masked Input Pattern.

    Click Masked Input Pattern
  4. On the Masked Input Pattern screen, select a masked input pattern.

    Select Masked Input Pattern
  5. Click Edit Masked Input Pattern.

Name
Description:
Specifies the name that shows for the masked input pattern in the Masked Input form control.
Allowed Values:
One line of text (a string).

Accepted:

  • Letters
  • Numbers
  • Hyphens (-)

Not Accepted:

  • Spaces
  • Other special characters
Default Value:
None

Value
Description:
Shows the masked input pattern configured in the Enter Masked Input Pattern field.
Allowed Values:
Read only.

Enter Masked Input Pattern
Description:
Specifies the masked input pattern to validate the user input in a form field.
To Open this Field:
  1. Click Configure Configure icon.
Allowed Values:
  • The input mask characters from the Predefined Mask Rules list.
  • A combination of literal text characters with input mask characters.

    You can use literal text characters with input mask characters to configure the masked input pattern. The Masked Input form control displays the literal text characters as default text.

Predefined Mask Rules
Description:
Shows the list of input mask characters that determine the type of data that is accepted for input.

You can use input mask characters to configure the masked input pattern in the Enter Masked Input Pattern field.

To Open this Field:
  1. Click Configure Configure icon.
Allowed Values:
  • 9 - Any number from 0-9.
  • a - Capital or small letters.
  • * - Letters or numbers.
  • 0 - Any number from 0-9, or spaces
  • # - Any number from 0-9, plus signs (+), or minus signs (-).
  • A - Letters or spaces.
  • S - Letters, numbers, or spaces.
  • & - Any characters, except spaces.
  • C - Any character.
  • ? - A question mark (?), followed by any characters, except another question mark.

Changes the information for the selected masked input pattern.
