To configure the Grant Permissions activity, do the procedure in this topic.

How to Start

  1. Open Process Builder.

    For information about how to open this screen, refer to Process Builder.


    Open Process Builder
  2. In Process Builder, in the Activity Library, open the Data Entities tab.

  3. On the Data Entities tab, drag the Grant Permissions activity onto your process.

Fields

Standard Entities / Custom Entities
Description:
Specifies whether to show standard (out-of-the-box) entities or custom entities in the Entity Name list.
Allowed Values:
  • Standard Entities - Shows standard (out-of-the-box) entities in the Entity Name list.
  • Custom Entities - Shows custom entities in the Entity Name list.
Default Value:

Entity
Description:
Specifies the name for your entity from the list.
Allowed Values:
An entity name from the list.
Default Value:
None

Available Permissions
Description:
Specifies the permissions for users and groups for entities and records.

For more information, refer to Data Entities Security Overview.

Allowed Values:
  • Owner - The specified users and groups are Entity Owners.
  • Designer - The specified users and groups are Entity Designers.
  • Reader - The specified users and groups have Read Records permission for read entity records.
  • Create - The specified users and groups have Create Records permission for create and read entity records.
  • Edit - The specified users and groups have Edit Records permission to change and read entity records.
  • Delete - The specified users and groups have Delete Records permission to delete, create, change, and read entity records.
Default Value:
None

Allow All
Description:
Specifies whether all AgilePoint NX users and groups have permissions for entities and records in AgilePoint NX.
Allowed Values:
  • Selected - All AgilePoint NX users and groups have permissions for entities and records.
  • Deselected - Gives the permissions for entities and records to the specified users and groups in the Assign Users and Assign Groups fields.
Default Value:
Deselected

Assign Users
Description:
Specifies the users who have permissions for entities and records.
Allowed Values:
AgilePoint NX registered users.
Default Value:
None

Assign Groups
Description:
Specifies the groups that have permissions for entities and records.
Allowed Values:
AgilePoint NX groups.
Default Value:
None
