Import Fields screen

Uploads a group of exported entity fields from your local machine, and adds it to an entity in AgilePoint NX Data Entities.

Prerequisites

How to Start

  1. Click Data Entities.

    Click Data Entities
  2. On the Data Entities Home screen, click Entities Entities icon.

    Click Entities
  3. On the Entities screen, click an entity.

  4. On the right side of the screen, click Ellipses (...) > Import Fields.

Fields

Field NameDefinition

Select File To Import
Description:
Specifies a file that contains the entity fields to import.
Allowed Values:
  • An XML or JSON file that contains an exported entity fields.

Click the Select A File button to select a file from your local file system.

Default Value:
None

Selected File Type
Description:
Shows the type of file you selected in the Select File To Import field.
Allowed Values:
Read only.
Default Value:
None

Action If Fields Exists
Description:
Specifies what action to do when you import the entity fields that exist in an entity.
Allowed Values:
  • Update and Replace - Imports and changes the entity fields if they exist in an entity.
  • Skip and Continue - Does not import the entity fields if they exist in an entity and shows an error in the log.
