Creates a new item for your menu in the Page Builder.

Prerequisites

How to Start

  1. Click Build Pages Build Pages icon.
  2. Click Library Library icon.
  3. On the Library screen, do one of these:
    • Create a menu.
    • Change a menu.
      1. On the menu item, click Ellipses (⋮).
  4. Click Add Menu Item Add Menu Item icon.

Fields

Field Name Definition

Display Name

Function:
Specifies the name of the menu item to create for your custom menu.
Accepted Values:
One line of text that can have spaces.
Default Value:
None

Internal Name

Function:
Specifies a unique, technical name for the menu item in the Page Builder.

When you click on this field, the field shows the internal name by default. You can also specify your own internal name. After the internal name is created, you can not change it.

Accepted Values:
One line of text with no spaces.
Default Value:
None

Select URL

Function:
Specifies whether the menu item navigates to a URL or AgilePoint components in Page Builder.
Accepted Values:
  • URL - The menu item opens a URL.
  • AgilePoint Modules - The menu item opens the AgilePoint component.
Default Value:
URL

URL

Function:
Specifies the URL for the custom page the menu item opens.
To Open this Field:
  1. On the Add Menu Item screen, select URL.
Accepted Values:
A string in URL format.
Default Value:
None
Example:
https://mysite.com/mypage.html

AgilePoint Modules

Function:
Specifies the AgilePoint component that the menu item opens.
To Open this Field:
  1. On the Add Menu Item screen, select AgilePoint Modules.
Accepted Values:
  • Home
  • Work Center
  • Manage
  • Build Apps
  • Build Pages
  • Reports
    Note: The current version of Report Center (sometimes referred to as AgileReports) can only be used by customers who purchased this component before April 1, 2020. This version is no longer available for purchase, including by current and previous purchasers of AgilePoint NX or the Report Center component. AgilePoint plans to release the new version of Report Center in Q3 2020.

Open in New Tab

Function:
Specifies whether to open the URL or AgilePoint module in a new tab.
Accepted Values:
  • On - The URL or AgilePoint module opens in a new tab.
  • Off - The URL or AgilePoint module opens in the same tab.
Default Value:
  • Off (URL).
  • On (AgilePoint Modules).
Limitations:

The default value is set to On for AgilePoint Modules in these releases:

Menu Icons

Function:
Specifies whether to show an icon for the menu item.
Accepted Values:
  • On - Shows an icon with the display name on the menu item. You must specify a URL for the icon.
  • Off - The display name shows for the menu item with no icon.
Default Value:
Off

Active Icon URL

Function:
Specifies the URL for icon to show when you click the menu item.
To Open this Field:
  1. On the Add Menu Item screen, turn on Enable Icons.
Accepted Values:
A string in URL format.
Default Value:
None

Idle Icon URL

Function:
Specifies the URL for icon to show when the menu item is not visited.
To Open this Field:
  1. On the Add Menu Item screen, turn on Enable Icons.
Accepted Values:
A string in URL format.

None

Hover Icon URL

Function:
Specifies the URL for icon to show when you mouse over the menu item.
To Open this Field:
  1. On the Add Menu Item screen, turn on Enable Icons.
Accepted Values:
A string in URL format.
Default Value:
None

https://mysite.com/demo/image/upload/Sample.jpg

Add

Function:
Saves the menu item, and closes the Add Menu Item screen.

Save and New

Function:
Saves the menu item, and opens the Add Menu Item screen to create a new menu item.
