Prerequisites

  • An app in .Zip format saved on your local machine.

How to Start

  1. Click App Builder.

    Build Apps screen
  2. Click Import.

    Click Import

Uploads an exported app from your local file system to AgilePoint NX.

Select File

Function:
Specifies a .Zip file that stores the app to import.

You can drag the .Zip file from your local machine.

Make sure that the .Zip file has the manifest.xml, dependencies.xml, and related JSON files that have necessary information about the app.

Accepted Values:
A .Zip file that stores an exported app.

Click the Select file button to select a file from your local machine.

Default Value:
None
Limitations:

The dependencies.xml file exists only when you export an app after these releases:

Shows the list of shared resources that do not exist in AgilePoint NX when you import an app. A shared resource may not exist in an NX environment because it was either exported from a different NX environment where the shared resource exists, or the shared resource was deleted from the NX environment after the app was exported.

  • To view the list of shared resources that are used in the app you import, click Show All Dependencies.

Shared Resources

Function:
Shows the list of shared resources that do not exist in AgilePoint NX when you import an app.
Accepted Values:
Read only.
Default Value:
None

Show All Dependencies

Function:
Specifies whether to show the list of shared resources that are used in the app you import.
Accepted Values:
  • Deselected - Shows only the shared resources that do not exist in the AgilePoint NX environment where you are importing.

    A shared resource may not exist in an NX environment because it was either exported from a different NX environment where the shared resource exists, or the shared resource was deleted from the NX environment after the app was exported.

  • Selected - Shows the list of shared resources that are used in the app.

Deselected

Continue with Import

Function:
Uploads the app to AgilePoint NX.

Before you publish the imported app, make sure that the app has all required shared resources. You may need to create the shared resources or import them individually from another environment.
