Notification tab

Specifies the SMTP server and related settings such as email format and system user email to send the notification emails from AgilePoint Server.

How to Start

  1. On the AgilePoint Server machine, in Windows Explorer, right-click the file (AgilePoint Server installation folder) C:\Program Files\AgilePoint\AgilePoint Server\WCFConfigurationUtility.exe, and click Run as Administrator.

  2. On the AgilePoint Server Manager screen, in the left pane, select your AgilePoint Server instance.

  3. Click Open Server Configuration Open Server Configuration icon.

  4. On the AgilePoint Server Configuration screen, click the Notification tab.

SMTP Server
Description:
The URL for your SMTP email server.
Allowed Values:
One line of text (a string) in URL format.
Default Value:
None

Exchange Server
Description:
Specifies whether to use Exchange Server to send the email notifications from AgilePoint Server.
Allowed Values:
  • Selected - Uses Exchange Server to send the email notifications from AgilePoint server.
  • Deselected - Uses the SMTP server to send the email notifications from AgilePoint server.
Default Value:

System User Email
Description:
Specifies the email address for the AgilePoint System Account.

This email address receives technical notifications from the AgilePoint NX system, such as important system errors.

Allowed Values:
One line of text (a string) in email address format.
Default Value:
None

Email Format
Description:
Specifies the format of the notification emails from AgilePoint Server.
Allowed Values:
  • html - Shows the email in HTML format.
  • text - Shows the email in text-only format.
Default Value:
text

Max Retry on Failure
Description:
Specifies the maximum number of times to send an email notification from AgilePoint Server if the email attempts fail.
Allowed Values:
An integer.
Default Value:
None

Exchange Server Token
Description:
Specifies the Exchange Server access token to use to send the email notifications.
To Open this Field:
  1. On the Notification tab screen, select Exchange Server.
Allowed Values:
An access token from the list.
Default Value:
None

Email User Name
Description:
Specifies the user name for an email account on the SMTP server AgilePoint NX can use to send emails. These include, but are not limited to, emails from apps and server-side components, such as AgilePoint Server.
Allowed Values:
One line of text (a string) that represents a user name for an email account on the SMTP server.
Default Value:
None

Email Password
Description:
Specifies the password for an email account on the SMTP server AgilePoint NX can use to send emails. These include, but are not limited to, emails from apps and server-side components, such as AgilePoint Server.
Allowed Values:
An alphanumeric string that represents a password.
Default Value:
None

Email sender
Description:
Specifies the email address of the sender for email notifications from AgilePoint Server.
Allowed Values:
One line of text (a string) in email address format.
Default Value:
None
