How to Start

  1. Open Process Builder.

  2. In Process Builder, in the Activity Library, open the Google Drive tab.

File or Folder ID

Function:
Specifies the ID of the file or folder from Google Drive to give permission to read or edit. The activity uses this file or folder ID when the process runs.
Accepted Values:
One line of text (a string) with no spaces.

Role

Function:
Specifies a role determines what users can do with a file or folder in Google Drive.
Accepted Values:
  • Writer - Users can read or change the content of the file and the list of items in the folder.
  • Reader - Users can only read the content of the file and the list of items in the folder.

Account Type

Function:
Specifies the type of account to give permission to read or edit a file or folder.
Accepted Values:
  • User - Lets you specify an e-mail address of a user in the Email Address or Domain Name field. This user has a role permission.
  • Group - Lets you specify an e-mail address of a Google group in the Email Address or Domain Name field. This group has a role permission.
  • Domain- Lets you specify the domain name for an e-mail address, for example xyz.com, in the Email Address or Domain Name field. The users from this domain have a role permission.
  • Anyone - Specifies that any users have a role permission. The anyone permission does not require the Email Address or Domain Name field.

Function:
Specifies an e-mail address of a user or Google group, or the domain name of an e-mail address to give a role.
Accepted Values:
  • One line of text (a string) in email address format.
