SMS Notifications screen

Sends an SMS notification from a human task activity when an event occurs in a process.

Background and Setup

Prerequisites

AgilePoint NX PrivateCloud or AgilePoint NX OnPremises v6.0 SP1 or higher.
Configure the SMS Service and Approval AgileConnector.

How to Start

Process Builder (Activities)

Open Process Builder.
For information about how to open this screen, refer to Process Builder.
In Process Builder, in the Activity Library, drag any human task activity onto your process.
Configure the human task activity.
For more information, refer to:
- Tasks (eForms) tab
- Tasks (External Forms) tab
On the configuration screen, click Advanced > SMS Notifications.

App Builder

Click App Builder.
On the App Builder Home screen, click All Apps.
On the All Apps screen, on an app, click Edit .
On the App Details screen, click Add New > SMS Notification.

Specifies the content of a message template for a message sent with SMS.

Prerequisites

Before you can select an SMS template, you must create one.
For more information, refer to SMS Template Configuration screen.

Fields

Field Name	Definition
Assigned	Description: Specifies the name of an SMS template you can use to send a message when the task is Assigned.
Reassigned	Description: Specifies the name of an SMS template you can use to send a message when the task is Reassigned to new participants.
Completed	Description: Specifies the name of an SMS template you can use to send a message when a task is Completed.
Cancelled	Description: Specifies the name of an SMS template you can use to send a message when a task is Cancelled.
Overdue	Description: Specifies the name of an SMS template you can use to send a message when a task is Overdue.
SMS Template	Description: Specifies the SMS template you want to use for the message. Allowed Values: A list of SMS templates in the system. Default Value: None An SMS template, if one exists.
Create	Opens this Screen: SMS Template Configuration screen Function of this Screen: Specifies the content of SMS template. An SMS template determines template name, message, and other aspects of an automated SMS template sent from AgilePoint NX.
Edit	Function: Changes the content for the selected SMS template. To Open this Field: In the SMS Template field, select a template.
Message	Description: Specifies the content of the message. Allowed Values: Read only.
Complete the Assigned, Reassigned or Overdue task by responding the SMS message	Description: If selected, completes a task using a response to the automated message. The message must come from the same message technology as the outgoing message. For example, the user must use SMS to respond to an SMS message. Allowed Values: Read only.
Keyword	Description: Shows an approval keyword which sets the Xpath node to True or False when a participant enters it in a message. This usually applies to approvals. Allowed Values: Read only.
Xpath	Description: Shows a schema element that stores the approval keyword specified by the approver. Allowed Values: Read only.

Good to Know

In most text fields, you can use process data variables as an alternative to literal data values.

Fields

SMS Template Name	Description: Specifies the name of your SMS template. Allowed Values: One line of text (a string). Accepted: Letters Numbers Spaces Default Value: None
Message	Description: Specifies the content of the message. Allowed Values: More than one line of text. Default Value: None Accepts Variables: Yes
Complete the Assigned, Reassigned or Overdue task by responding the SMS message	Description: Completes a task using a response to the automated message. The message must come from the same message technology as the outgoing message. For example, the user must use SMS to respond to an SMS message.
Keyword	Description: An approval keyword which sets the Xpath node to True or False when a participant enters it in a message. This usually applies to approvals. To Open this Field: Select Complete the Assigned, Reassigned or Overdue task by responding the SMS message. Allowed Values: One line of text (a string). Xpath	Description: Specifies a schema element that stores the approval keyword specified by the approver. To Open this Field: Select Complete the Assigned, Reassigned or Overdue task by responding the SMS message. Allowed Values: An XPath to a schema element in Boolean format. Default Value: None Accepts Variables: Yes Example: /pd:myFields/pd:ApproveReject
