  1. Open Process Builder.

  2. In Process Builder, in the Activity Library, open the Active Directory tab.

  3. On the Active Directory tab, drag the Create Group activity onto your process.

Description:
Specifies the access token that connects to your Active Directory.
Allowed Values:
A list of access tokens configured for your environment.

Group Name

Description:
Specifies the name of the group.
Allowed Values:
One line of text that can have spaces.

Within the domain, you can not have more than one instance of the same group. Once the group is added, it can not be changed.

Group Name (Pre-Windows 2000)

Description:
Specifies the log name of the account. This field can be modified after it has been created.
Allowed Values:
A group name.
Default Value:

Email ID

Description:
Specifies the e-mail address of the group.
Allowed Values:
One line of text (a string) in email address format.
Default Value:
None

Group Scope

Description:
Specifies where the group exists in Active Directory.
Allowed Values:
  • Domain Local - Can have accounts, global groups, and universal groups from any domain and domain local groups within the same domain.
  • Global - Can have global groups and accounts from the same domain.
  • Universal - Can have accounts, global groups, and universal groups from any domain.

Group Type

Description:
Specifies the group type in Active Directory.
Allowed Values:
  • Security - Lets you assign access to resources on your network.
  • Distribution - Lets you send e-mails to collections of users with e-mail applications, such as Exchange.
