Why Can I Not Turn On AutoSync for Third-Party Authentication in a Development Environment?

Symptoms

You can not turn on AutoSync in a Development environment.

Cause

Licenses for Development environments have limited seats. If you turned AutoSync On for Development environment, all of the users registered in your third-party system would be added to the Development environment, and the license cost would increase.

Also, most organizations do not want Production users to have access to their Development environments. If AutoSync were enabled,all Production users would have access to the Development environment.

Resolution

1. Add individual users to the Development environment.
