Application Owner (Entity Owner, Page Owner)

Application owners manage daily usage, maintenance, and monitoring of the AgilePoint NX apps he or she owns. Different apps can have different application owners. Application owners are the point of contact for users related to application usage, daily monitoring, managing human tasks, and so on. Application owners are also responsible for assigning application level permissions to other users who intend to use the applications and corresponding data entities, reports, or other extended functionality.

Permissions for Application Owners, Entity Owners, and Page Owners

An application owner is a user or group who can change an application in the App Builder.

An entity owner is a user or group who has full permissions to read, edit, create, and delete records for a specific entity in AgilePoint NX Data Entities, and can also manage permissions for other users and groups for that entity.

A page owner is a user or group who has full permissions for a specific page in AgilePoint NX Page Builder.

Application Owners
Function:
An application owner is a user or group who can change an application in the App Builder.
Permissions:

These permissions apply to a specified form-based app or process-based app:

  • Delete application.
  • All permissions for Application Designer.

Entity Owner
Function:
An entity owner is a user or group who has full permissions to read, edit, create, and delete records for a specific entity in AgilePoint NX Data Entities, and can also manage permissions for other users and groups for that entity.

The global entity permissions manager​ role gives similar permissions for all entities. You can assign that role in the Manage Center

Permissions:

These permissions apply to a specified entity:

  • Read entity.
  • Edit entity.
  • Delete entity.
  • Read Records.
  • Edit Records.
  • Create Records.
  • Delete Records.
  • Manage permissions for other entity users.
  • All permissions for Entity Designer.

Page Owner
Function:
A page owner is a user or group who has full permissions for a specific page in AgilePoint NX Page Builder. The members of page owner security group can add pages, edit, check out and check in pages on behalf of other users, save, preview, publish, rollback, and delete page, and can also manage permissions for other users and groups for that page. They can also create or change menus and CSS snippets

The manage global permission role gives similar permissions for all pages. You can assign that role in the Manage Center.

  • Delete page.
  • Edit, check in, and check out page on behalf of other users.
  • Manage permissions for other page users.
  • All permissions for Page Designer.
