How Do I Enable the PerfTrace Utility for a Specific Tenant in a Multi-Tenant Environment?

Good to Know

  • The Performance Tracing Utility tracks all the events of the tenants that are enabled. If there is a necessity to trace only one tenant, then only that tenant must be enabled, and all other tenants must be disabled. This means that all tenants that are not using PerfTrace will be disabled while the operation runs.

Procedure

  1. On the AgilePoint Server machine, in Windows Explorer, right-click the file (AgilePoint Server installation folder) C:\Program Files\AgilePoint\AgilePoint Server\WCFConfigurationUtility.exe, and click Run as Administrator
  2. On the AgilePoint Server Manager screen, in the left pane, select your AgilePoint Server instance
  3. Click Open Server Configuration Open Server Configuration icon.
  4. On the AgilePoint Server Configuration screen, click Multi-Tenant Configuration.
  5. On the Multi-Tenant Configuration screen, click the Tenant Configuration tab.
  6. Search for the tenant you want to enable PerfTrace in the tenant list.
  7. Turn on Enable Tenant for the tenant.
  8. Turn off Enable Tenant to disable all the tenants that you do not want to trace.
  9. Click Update.
  10. Configure the PerfTrace.config file and place it in this folder:

    (AgilePoint Server instance installation folder) C:\Program Files\AgilePoint\AgilePointServerInstance

  11. Once the performance tracing is complete, enable the disabled tenants.
