How to Start

  1. Open Process Builder.

    For information about how to open this screen, refer to Process Builder.


    Open Process Builder
  2. In Process Builder, in the Activity Library, open the Okta tab.

  3. On the Okta tab, drag the Add User activity onto your process.

Description:
Specifies the access token that connects to your Okta service.
Allowed Values:
A list of access tokens configured for your environment.
Default Value:

Create Add Token icon

Opens this Screen:
Access Token for Okta.
Function of this Screen:
Configure an access token to connect to Okta.

Request Mapping

Description:
Maps information about the user from the Okta data model to your process schema.
Allowed Values:
Click the Schema Mapping Schema Mapping icon button to open the Schema Mapper screen.

Use this screen to connect the request to the data model for your process.

Password Type

Description:
Specifies how to set the password for the Okta user.
Allowed Values:
  • Set By Admin - Specifies the password for the user account.

    The Okta user receives the password in an account confirmation email.

  • Set By User - The Okta user can set the password for the account.

    The user must set the password for the account when they sign in to the Okta environment for the first time.

Description:
Specifies the password for the Okta user.
To Open this Field:
  1. On the Add User Configuration screen, in the Password Type field, select Set By Admin.
Allowed Values:
An alphanumeric string that represents a password.

Store User ID In This Variable

Description:
Specifies the process data variable to store the ID of the Okta user.

The user ID comes from Okta.

Allowed Values:
A process data variable that accepts an alphanumeric string with no spaces or special characters.

Reset Password On Sign-In

Description:
Specifies whether to set a password for the user account when the Okta user signs in first time.
To Open this Field:
  1. On the Add User Configuration screen, in the Password Type field, select Set By Admin.
Allowed Values:
  • Selected - The user must set the password for the user account when sign in to the Okta environment for the first time.
  • Deselected - The user can use the password that the admin creates for the account to sign in to the Okta environment.

    The Okta user receives the password in an account confirmation email.

Send User Activation Email

Description:
Specifies whether to send an email notification to the user to activate the account in Okta.
To Open this Field:
  1. On the Add User Configuration screen, in the Password Type field, select Set By User.
Allowed Values:
  • Selected - Sends an email notification to the user to activate the account in Okta.
  • Deselected - Adds the user to the Okta environment in a Staged status.

    The user can not sign in to the Okta service.
