Import Records in an Entity

To import records from your local machine to an entity, do the procedure in this topic.

Background and Setup

Prerequisites

On the New Entity screen or Entity screen > Details tab, turn on Allow Record Import.
Downloads records as a Microsoft Excel, XML, or JSON file.

AgilePoint NX OnDemand (public cloud), or AgilePoint NX PrivateCloud or AgilePoint NX OnPremises v7.0 or higher.

How to Start

Click Data Entities.
On the Data Entities Home screen, click Entities .
On the Entities screen, click an entity.
On the right side of the screen, click Ellipses (...) > Import Data.

Procedure

On the Import Data screen, click Select A File.
Select an exported Microsoft Excel, XML, or JSON file from the local machine that contains the records to import.
Click Import.
