Add an Authentication Type

Enabled Authentications

Function:

Shows you the active authentication types in your AgilePoint NX environment.

You can enable more than one account of the same third-party service, such as Microsoft 365 or Salesforce.

Accepted Values:

• Primary - Shows the main authentication types on your AgilePoint NX environment.
• Make Primary - Makes the selected authentication primary for your AgilePoint NX environment.

Supported Authentications

Function:

Shows the authentication types your AgilePoint NX environment can use.

The authentication types can change based on your AgilePoint NX configuration.

Accepted Values:

These authentication types are available in AgilePoint NX OnDemand, AgilePoint NX Private Cloud, or AgilePoint NX OnPremises:

• AgilePoint ID - Enables native AgilePoint authentication.
• Salesforce - Enables Salesforce account authentication.
• MS Azure Active Directory - Enables Microsoft Azure Active Directory account authentication.
• Microsoft 365 SharePoint Online - Enables SharePoint for Microsoft 365 account authentication.
• Google Workspace - Enables Google account authentication.

These authentication types are available in AgilePoint NX Private Cloud or AgilePoint NX OnPremises only:

• ADFS - Enables ADFS account authentication.
• Amazon Cognito - Enables Amazon Cognito account authentication.
• CA SiteMinder - Enables SiteMinder account authentication.
• IdentityServer - Enables IdentityServer account authentication.
• Okta - Enables Okta account authentication.
• PingFederate - Enables PingFederate account authentication.

Limitations:

Amazon Cognito authentication is available in these releases:

• AgilePoint NX Private Cloud or AgilePoint NX OnPremises v8.0 Software Update 1 or higher

Okta, IdentityServer, and CA SiteMinder authentication are available in these releases:

• AgilePoint NX Private Cloud or AgilePoint NX OnPremises v7.0 Software Update 1 or higher

PingFederate authentication is available in these releases:

• AgilePoint NX Private Cloud or AgilePoint NX OnPremises v7.0 Software Update 2 or higher

Auto Signup - Auto sync user profile on first successful login

Function:

Synchronizes users in your AgilePoint NX environment with a third-party service, such as Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Salesforce, or Google.

Synchronization is a one-way process. Data flows from the external service to the AgilePoint user database. Users you add to AgilePoint are not added to the third-party service.

Accepted Values:

• Yes - synchronizes the users with your AgilePoint NX environment.
• No - Does not synchronize the users with your AgilePoint NX environment.

Auto Signup - Sync User Email IDs

Function:

Synchronizes users e-mail ID in your AgilePoint NX environment with a third-party service, such as Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Salesforce, or Google.

Synchronization is a one-way process. Data flows from the external service to the AgilePoint user database. The users e-mail ID you add to AgilePoint are not added to the third-party service.

Accepted Values:

• Yes - synchronizes the users e-mail ID with your AgilePoint NX environment.
• No - Does not synchronize the users e-mail ID with your AgilePoint NX environment.
