Shared Variables screen

Manages your shared variables. For example, you can create, change, and delete shared variables.

A shared variable is a user defined attribute that can be used or shared across different processes or environments using Manage Center. For example, you can use the same variable in various environments: development, test, and production.

How to Start

  1. Click Manage.

    Click Manage
  2. In the Manage Center, click App Builder > Shared Variables.

    Click Shared Variables

Search Variables

Function:
Lets you do a search for the specified shared variable.
Accepted Values:
A valid shared variable name.
Default Value:
None

Function of this Screen:
Creates a shared variable.

Edit Edit icon

Opens this Screen:
Edit Variables screen
Function of this Screen:
Changes a shared variable.
To Open this Field:
  1. Select your global variable.

Import Import icon

Adds global variables specified in an XML file.

Export Export icon

Opens this Screen:
Export Variables screen
Function of this Screen:
Exports an XML file with the system's current process data variables.

Name

Function:
Shows the reference name of the process data variable.
Accepted Values:
Read only.

Value

Function:
Shows the value that applies to the global variable at runtime.
Accepted Values:
Read only.

Type

Function:
Shows the data type for the shared variable.
Accepted Values:
Read only.
