Expand Bitlink activity

An activity that expands a Bitlink, or short URL, to its long URL with Bitly.

Configure the Expand Bitlink activity

To configure the Expand Bitlink activity, do the procedure in this topic.

Prerequisites

  • AgilePoint NX OnDemand (public cloud), or AgilePoint NX PrivateCloud or AgilePoint NX OnPremises v7.0 or higher.

Good to Know

  • ​​To send an e-mail notification, click Advanced Advanced icon > E-mail Notifications E-mail Notifications icon.

  • In most text fields, you can use process data variables as an alternative to literal data values.

How to Start

  1. On the Application Explorer screen, do one of these:
    • Open a Process.
    • Create a Process.
  2. Do one of these:
    • Add an activity:
      1. In the Process Builder, in the Activity Library, open the Bitly Bitly icon tab.
      2. On the Bitly Bitly icon tab, drag the Expand Bitlink Expand Bitlink icon activity onto your process.
    • Change an activity:
      1. In your process, double-click your activity.

Specifies the activity name that shows in your process.
Accepted Values:
One line of text that can have spaces.

A list of access tokens configured for your environment.

Short URL/Hash

Function:
Specifies a short URL or hash to get its long URL.
Accepted Values:
  • A short URL from Bitly.
  • A Bitly hash.

  • Short URL - bit.ly/2V6CFi
  • Hash - 2V6CFi

Store Long URL Response to this Variable

Function:
Specifies a process data variable that stores the long URL from Bitly.
Accepted Values:
A process data variable.
Default Value:
None
