AgilePoint Server Requirements

This section provides the minimum recommended system requirements for AgilePoint NX OnPremises or AgilePoint NX PrivateCloud, as well as sizing suggestions based on common customer environment configurations.

The recommended requirements for this component can vary based on the intended usage of the product. The general recommendation for all types of production servers is that they should have as much processing power and memory as possible.

Processor (CPU)	Minimum Requirement: Any dual processor server. Typical Build: 2 dual-core processors. This is a typical size for production, development, and test environments. For higher load production environments, you may want to add more processors.
Memory (RAM)	Minimum Requirement: 8 GB RAM. Typical Build: Production environments - 8-16 GB RAM. For higher load production environments, you may want to add more RAM. Development and test environments - 8 GB RAM.
Available Hard Disk Space	Minimum Requirement: 5 GB. Typical Build: 60 GB. This is a typical size for production, development, and test environments, assuming you do not have any other significant software on the machine. If you have additional software on the machine, you may need to increase the hard disk size.
Other Hardware or Devices	A network connection NIC 1 GB or higher
Operating System	One of the following: Microsoft Windows Server 2019 Microsoft Windows Server 2012 Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 Microsoft Windows Server 2016, Standard, Datacenter, or Essentials edition Microsoft Windows Server 2019, Standard, Datacenter, or Essentials edition
Locally Installed Software	All of the following: Microsoft IIS 7.0 or higher Internet Explorer 10 or higher Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.1 Download and install .NET 4.7.1 from Microsoft. Windows Identity Foundation (WIF). For more information, refer to Windows Identity Foundation on the Microsoft Download Center. Microsoft Windows PowerShell Application Request Routing (ARR) 3.0 If you do not have this software, AgilePoint recommends installing using the Web Platform Installer from Microsoft
Other Software in the Environment	An authentication provider. In AgilePoint NX OnPremises or AgilePoint NX PrivateCloud, users do not have AgilePoint IDs. Their user IDs are assigned through an authentication provider, which may be a third-party service, such as Salesforce, or a company Active Directory. The one exception is the NX Portal Administrator, whose AgielPoint ID is created by default during installation. For more information, refer to Authentication. Client machines that access the AgilePoint NX server-hosted applications must use one of these browsers: Firefox 35 or higher Google Chrome 40 or higher Internet Explorer 10 or higher Microsoft Edge Safari 6 or higher Web browser limitations: Web browsers must have cookies enabled. The Data Entities component is not supported in Internet Explorer. The Page Builder component is not supported in Internet Explorer. The Application Builder component is not fully supported in Microsoft Edge. In SharePoint for Office 365, the SharePoint Dashboard App Part does not support the Safari web browser. Note: AgilePoint NX uses client-side rendering for its forms and components, so overall performance of these components depends upon the performance of the web browser on the client machine. Database	This component requires a database installed on a machine with the following minimum requirements. For stability and performance, AgilePoint recommends installing the database on a remote server within the same network domain. However, the database can be installed on the same machine as this component. Other database requirements beyond those listed here are at the discretion of your database administrator. For more information, refer to Create Databases for AgilePoint. Supported Database Software: Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Microsoft SQL Server 2016 Microsoft SQL Server 2017 Minimum Disk Space: 5 GB for the workflow database 5 GB for the Data Entities database 1 GB for the portal master database 1 GB for the portal tenant database 1 GB for the report database Disk Space for a Typical Build: 100 GB. This is a typical total size for all AgilePoint databases for production, development, and test environments. This also includes the space required for the optional Data Services component. For higher load production environments, you may want to increase the disk size.
