AgilePoint Server Does Not Run as Network Service

Symptoms

After installing and configuring AgilePoint Server and Enterprise Manager, unable to connect to AgilePoint Enterprise Manager. When checking the netflow.log file, the following error shows:

System is running as user = 'NETWORK SERVICE'.

Cause

AgilePoint Server's identity must have privileges more than 'NETWORK SERVICE'.

Resolution

For AgilePoint Server to run successfully, it requires an identity with more privileges than 'NETWORK SERVICE'. The identity should be at least 'LOCAL SYSTEM' or specific local/domain account with sufficient privileges.

The privileges of the account should include:

• Local Administrators group
• IIS_WPG group (for Windows 2003)
• Database (db_owner if Integrated Security for database option is chosen)
