How Do I Configure an AgilePoint Service to Start Automatically, Or Not?

To configure an AgilePoint service to start automatically when the AgilePoint Server machine starts, or not, do the procedure in this topic.

Good to Know

• Setting AgilePoint services to start automatically is a convenienence, and it is usually fine for the normal operation of AgilePoint NX. However, this setting can interfere with some AgilePoint NX operations in some circumstances, such as during an upgrade.
• System administrators who configure AgilePoint NX services to start automatically usually start these services automatically:
  • AgilePoint Server Instance (AgilePointServerInstance)
  • Data Services (AgilePointDataServices)

How to Start

1. On your AgilePoint Server machine, click Start, and type Run.
2. Click Run.
3. On the Run screen, in the Open field, enter services.msc.
4. Click OK.

Procedure

1. On the Services screen, double-click the AgilePoint service you want to start automatically.
2. On the Properties screen, in the General tab, in the Startup type list, do one of these:
   • To configure the service to start automatically, select Automatic.

     
     
     

   • To configure the service so that it does not start automatically, select Disabled.
3. Click Apply.
4. Click OK.
