(Optional) Manually Upgrade SharePoint Integration with PowerShell

If you meet the prerequisites in this topic, you must manually upgrade AgilePoint SharePoint Integration. This topic describes the manual upgrade procedure with PowerShell commands.

Prerequisites

  • The default installation and upgrade packages for AgilePoint NX v10.0 require SharePoint Workflow Manager, which supports SharePoint 2013-style workflows. The procedure in this topic describes the upgrade for this solution.

    The SharePoint Integration solution before AgilePoint NX v10.0 used SharePoint 2010-style workflows, which have been retired by Microsoft. The solution that supports 2010-style workflows is not included by default in the AgilePoint NX v10.0 full installer or upgrade installer. Customers are encouraged to migrate to the latest SharePoint solution.

  • AgilePoint SharePoint Integration installed.
  • Log on to the SharePoint machine with a user account that belongs to the Farm Administrators group.
  • You have applied your AgilePoint NX upgrade package on all applicable AgilePoint machines.
  • When upgrading AgilePoint NX, you selected the option I want to manually upgrade AgilePoint SharePoint Integration.

Good to Know

  • The AgilePoint NX SharePoint app can be added to a SharePoint Web Part page or wiki page in on-premises SharePoint.

Procedure

  1. Open the folder where the SharePoint Integration installer files are stored.

    The location of this folder will different for different versions of SharePoint. The path can also change if you select a different path to store the AgilePoint NX installation files.

    This is the default folder for an AgilePoint NX installation that uses SharePoint 2016, or 2019:

    • C:\AgilePointInstaller\[AgilePoint NX version]\Net48\SharePoint
  2. In SharePoint Management Shell, run the following command to update the SharePoint Solution files. 
    Update-SPSolution -Identity AgilePoint.SharePoint.Solutions.wsp -LiteralPath 
              "(AgilePoint Integration for SharePoint installation folder)
          C:\Program Files\AgilePoint\AgilePoint Integration for SharePoint\AgilePoint.SharePoint.Solutions.wsp" 
              –GACDeployment -FullTrustBinDeployment
  3. On each SharePoint machine that is a front-end web server, in the SharePoint Management Shell, execute the following command: 
    Install-SPApplicationContent
