Adding a Sub Process that Uses a Different Form Technology than the Parent Process

If the parent process and sub process use different form types, the processes cannot share custom attributes since the schemas are different. For example this situation could occur with an AgileForms parent process with a SharePoint ListForm SubProcess.

To add a sub process that uses a different form technology than the parent process, do the following.

Navigation

  1. In AgilePoint Envision, open a process template.
  2. Navigate to the Generic BPM stencil.
  3. On the Generic BPM stencil, drag the SubProcess AgileShape, and drop it on the process template.
  4. To view the entire list of properties, in the Design Tasks pane, click Show Properties.
  5. On the Initial Attributes field, click the Ellipses button.

Instructions

  1. On the Initial Attributes Configuration Window, deselect This sub process will share custom attributes with parent process.
  2. Map the custom attributes from your parent process to your sub process.
