E-mail Approval Configuration

Configures an e-mail template that participants can use to approve or reject a request from an e-mail. This is an alternative to an online form. If the user has HTML e-mail, the template shows as an HTML form. If the user has text-only e-mail, the user sees a text-only form.

How to Start

  1. Do one of these:
  2. On the App Explorer screen, do one of these:
  3. In the Process Builder, in the My App pane, expand your app, and do one of these:
    • Click Notification
      1. Click Emails Emails icon.
      2. Do one of these:
        • To create an e-mail template, click New New icon.
        • To change an email template, click the template, and click Edit Edit icon.
    • Click Process Model
      1. Double-click your process.
      2. Click Notification Notification icon > Email Template E-mail Template icon.
      3. On the Email Template screen, in the Model Template, click Add Add icon.
  4. Click the Content tab.
  5. Click Email Approval Template E-mail Approval Template icon.

Approval Response

Function:
Specifies the approval keyword.
Accepted Values:
A process data variable with a Boolean value.

Remarks

Function:
Specifies any comments the approver wants to include with his or her approval response. This is sometimes used to specify an explanation if the approval is declined.

A process data variable that stores a string value.

Function:
Shows the preview for your approval e-mail template.
