AgilePoint Server Requirements

This section provides the minimum recommended system requirements for AgilePoint NX OnPremises or AgilePoint NX Private Cloud, as well as sizing suggestions based on common customer environment configurations.

The recommended requirements for this component can vary based on the intended usage of the product. The general recommendation for all types of production servers is that they should have as much processing power and memory as possible.

Processor (CPU)	Minimum Requirement: 2 CPU core processors. Typical Build: 4 CPU core processors. This is a typical size for production, development, and test environments. For higher load production environments, you may want to add more processors.
Memory (RAM)	Minimum Requirement: 16 GB RAM. Typical Build: Production and test environments - 32-64 GB RAM. For higher load production environments, you may want to add more RAM. Development environments - 16 GB RAM.
Available Hard Disk Space	Minimum Requirement: 50 GB. Typical Build: 100 GB. This is a typical size for production, development, and test environments, assuming you do not have any other significant software on the machine. If you have additional software on the machine, you may need to increase the hard disk size.
Other Hardware or Devices	A network connection NIC 1 GB or higher
Operating System	One of the following: Microsoft Windows Server 2025, Standard, Datacenter, or Essentials edition Microsoft Windows Server 2022, Standard, Datacenter, or Essentials edition Microsoft Windows Server 2019, Standard, Datacenter, or Essentials edition
Locally Installed Software	All of the following: Microsoft IIS. The minimum version for IIS is determined by the version of the operating installed on the AgilePoint Server machine. Internet Explorer 10 or higher. Internet Explorer is required on the AgilePoint Server machine. However, Internet Explorer is not supported on client devices that connect to AgilePoint NX. Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 Download and install .NET 4.8 from Microsoft. Microsoft .NET Framework ASP.NET Core 10.0 Runtime (v10.0.7) - Windows Hosting Bundle Download and install ASP.NET Core 10.0 Runtime - Windows Hosting Bundle. Node.js 24.x This release level is required. It is not the latest release of Node.js. Download and install Node.js. Microsoft Windows PowerShell 5.0 ODBC drivers If you use integrated security, you must install the ODBC drivers on the AgilePoint Server machine. Download and install ODBC drivers. Other Software in the Environment	An authentication provider. In AgilePoint NX OnPremises or AgilePoint NX Private Cloud, users do not have AgilePoint IDs. Their user IDs are assigned through an authentication provider, which may be a third-party service, such as Microsoft Entra ID, ADFS, Salesforce, or a company Active Directory. For more information, refer to Authentication. Client machines that access the AgilePoint NX server-hosted applications must use one of these browsers: Microsoft Edge 153 or higher Google Chrome 153 or higher Chromium 153 or higher Firefox 156 or higher Safari 27 or higher Web browser limitations: Web browsers must have cookies enabled. Note: AgilePoint NX uses client-side rendering for its forms and components, so overall performance of these components depends upon the performance of the web browser on the client machine. Database	This component requires a database installed on a machine with the following minimum requirements. For stability and performance, AgilePoint recommends installing the database on a remote server within the same network domain. However, the database can be installed on the same machine as this component. Other database requirements beyond those listed here are at the discretion of your database administrator. For more information, refer to Create Databases for AgilePoint. Supported Database Software: Microsoft SQL Server 2025 Microsoft SQL Server 2022 Minimum Processors (CPU): 8 CPU core processors. Typical Processors (CPU): 8-12 CPU core processors. This is a typical size for production, development, and test environments. For higher load production environments, you may want to add more processors. Minimum RAM: 32 GB RAM. Typical RAM: Production and test environments - 64-128 GB RAM. For higher load production environments, you may want to add more RAM. Development environments - 32 GB RAM. Minimum Disk Space: 50 GB for the Workflow database 50 GB for the Data Entities database 10 GB for the Analytics database Disk Space for a Typical Build: 200 GB. This is a typical total size for all AgilePoint databases for production, development, and test environments. This also includes the space required for the optional Data Services component. For higher load production environments, you may want to increase the disk size. Other Requirements: The TCP/IP protocol must be enabled on SQL Server.
