How to Start

  1. On the Application Explorer screen, do one of these:

    • Add an activity:
      1. In the Process Builder, in the Activity Library, open the Salesforce Salesforce icon tab.
      2. On the Salesforce Salesforce icon tab, drag the Reject Task Reject Task icon activity onto your process.
    • Change an activity:
      1. In your process, double-click your activity.
  3. Click Trigger Workflow Rules Trigger Workflow Rules icon.

Procedure

  1. On the Reject Approval Process screen, in the Salesforce field, select your Salesforce access token.

    To create a new access token, click Add Token Add Token icon. For more information, refer to Access Token for Salesforce.

  2. Complete these fields as necessary.

    Approval Request ID

    Function:
    Specifies the approval request ID to reject.
    Accepted Values:
    A valid approval request ID.
    Default Value:
    None
    Accepts Process Data Variables:
    Yes

    Approver ID

    Function:
    Specifies the ID of the Salesforce user who approves or rejects the record.
    Accepted Values:
    A valid Salesforce user ID.
    Default Value:
    None
    Accepts Process Data Variables:
    Yes
  3. (Optional) Complete these fields as necessary.

    Specifies a comment to associate with the approval process.

    More than one line of text.

  4. To connect the response to a process data variable, complete this field as necessary:

    Function:
    Specifies the final result that says if a record is approved or rejected in Salesforce.
    Accepted Values:
    A process data variable that accepts a Boolean value, or the text true or false.
    • True - The Salesforce record is approved.
    • False - The Salesforce record is rejected.
