How to Start

  1. On the Application Explorer screen, do one of these:

    • Add an activity:
      1. In the Process Builder, in the Activity Library, open the Exchange Server Exchange Server icon tab.
      2. On the Exchange Server Exchange Server icon tab, drag the Create Task Create Task icon activity onto your process.
    • Change an activity:
      1. In your process, double-click your activity.
  3. Click Create Task Create Task icon

Procedure

  1. On the Create Task Configuration screen, in the Exchange Server field, select your Exchange Server access token.

    To create a new access token, click Add Token Add Token icon. For more information, refer to Access Token for Exchange Server.

  2. On the Task Details tab, complete these fields as necessary.
    Field Name Definition

    From Date

    Function:
    Specifies the date and time to start the task in Exchange Server.
    Accepted Values:
    A valid date and time.

    You can use Process Data screen to specify a process data variable.

    Default Value:
    None
    Accepts Process Data Variables:
    Yes

    To Date

    Function:
    Specifies the date and time for the task to complete.
    Accepted Values:
    A valid date and time.

    You can use Process Data screen to specify a process data variable.

    Default Value:
    None
    Accepts Process Data Variables:
    Yes

    Task Status

    Function:
    Specifies the status of the task.
    Accepted Values:
    • Not Started
    • In Progress
    • Completed
    • Waiting on others
    • Deferred
    Default Value:
    None
    Accepts Process Data Variables:
    Yes
  3. On the Specific Task tab, complete these fields as necessary.
    Field Name Definition

    Subject

    Function:
    Specifies the subject line for the Exchange Server task.
    Accepted Values:
    One line of text that can contain spaces.
    Default Value:
    None

    Yes

    Task Body

    Function:
    Specifies the content of the message.
    Accepted Values:
    More than one line of text.
    Default Value:
    None
    Accepts Process Data Variables:
    Yes
  4. (Optional) Complete this field as necessary.

    Store Task ID in this Variable

    Function:
    Specifies the process data variable that contains the task ID from Exchange Server.
    Accepted Values:
    A process data variable that accepts an alphanumeric string with no spaces.
