Configuring SharePoint Connectivity for the Email Approval AgileConnector

To set up the Email Approval AgileConnector so that it can update values in SharePoint ListForm or InfoPath processes, do the following.

Prerequisites

Navigation

  1. On the AgilePoint Server machine, click Start > All Programs > AgilePoint > AgilePoint Configuration.
  2. On the AgilePoint Server Configuration Tool window, click the Extensions tab.
  3. On the Extensions tab, select MailApproval.
  4. Click Configure.
  5. On the Configure Email Approval window, click the Connect to SharePoint tab.

  1. On the Connect to SharePoint tab, complete the following fields as required for your environment.
Field Name Definition

Windows Authentication

Definition:
Specifies whether, and what type, of Windows Authentication is used to connect to SharePoint.
Claims Authentication
Definition:
Specifies whether to use Claims authentication, and what type of Claims authentication, to use to connect to SharePoint.
Allowed Values:
If this option is selected, the following types of Claims Authentication are available:
  • Form Based Authentication - Activates Forms based authentication using a custom membership provider to connect to an on-premises SharePoint environment.
  • Office 365 - Activates Claims authentication to connect to SharePoint in an Office 365 environment. This option can be used side-by-side with on-premises SharePoint.
  • Federated Authentication - Activates Federated authentication to connect to SharePoint -- for example, ADFS.
    Note: Out of the box, AgilePoint supports ADFS authentication. If you want to use your own authentication provider, see Federated Authentication Example.

Domain

Definition:
The authentication domain.

This does not apply to Forms-Based Authentication.

Username

The user ID of the SharePoint authentication account.

Password

Definition:
The password for the authentication account.
Allowed Values:
A valid password.

Definition:
The URI of the federated authentication provider. This provider issues security tokens for federated authentication.
Allowed Values:
A valid federated authentication provider URI.
