Setting Up a Custom Data Source

You can use custom data sources in the SharePoint Task List and Process Instance List Web Parts. To configure the custom data sources in one of these Web Parts, do the following.

Navigation

On your SharePoint site, navigate to the AgilePoint Configuration list. For example, View All Site Content > AgilePoint Configuration.
The navigation for this task varies, depending upon your SharePoint version and the SharePoint settings in your local environment. For more information, see the documentation for SharePoint
On the AgilePoint Configuration list, click New > AgilePoint Config Setting Item.

Instructions

On the AgilePoint Configuration: New Item page, Modify the values in the following fields as required:

Field Name	Definition
Application	Enter CustomDataSources.
AP Setting Key	The exact name of the custom data source. For the data sources provided by AgilePoint, the names must be precisely as follows: SharePoint List - SharePoint List DataSource Custom Attribute - Custom Attr
AP Setting Value	The assembly information for your custom data source. The following are examples of the information required for the data sources provided by AgilePoint: SharePoint List - AgilePoint.SharePoint.CustomDataSources.SharePointListDataSource, AgilePoint.SharePoint.CustomDataSources, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b7c6f89c2c983acd Custom Attribute - AgilePoint.SharePoint.CustomDataSources.CustomAttributesDataSource, AgilePoint.SharePoint.CustomDataSources, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b7c6f89c2c983acd
Description	An optional free text description of the data source.
Encrypted	Leave unselected.

Click OK.
