The Configuring the SMS Service and Approval AgileConnector supports two types of
actions using SMS:
- Sending notifications based on events - SMS notifications are set up
in the AgileWorks within a process model. Sending SMS notifications does
not require a listener service account.
- Listening for incoming responses for process input - This is typically
used for simple responses such as approve/reject. This requires a
listener service account.
To configure the SMS Service and Approval AgileConnector, do the following.
Navigation
- On the AgilePoint Server machine, click
Start > All Programs >
AgilePoint > AgilePoint Configuration.
- On the
AgilePoint Server Configuration Tool
window, click the
Extensions tab.
- On the Extensions tab, select SMSService.
- Click Configure.

- If you want to filter out process models that will not use SMS messaging, complete
the following field.

- Filters the process template based on the application name.
The messaging service is enabled on the process templates identified in this field.

- One or more valid application names.
Multiple application names must be separated with a semicolon (;).

- If you want users to receive notifications when tasks are assigned,
select Send Notification to Users about Task
Assignment.
- If you want AgilePoint to listen to incoming SMS messages to support SMS
responses, do the following:
- On the Configure SMS Service
AgileConnector window, enter the user name and
password for your SMS.

- Specifies the name of the service provider.
- Allowed Values:
- A valid service provider name that appears in the list.
If you want to use a different SMS listener
vendor, contact AgilePoint Professional Services to
request a new AgileConnector.

valid, click Test.
