Note: This step is recommended as a best practice.
Some AgilePoint customers have experienced performance issues due to AgilePoint
Server process recycling in IIS.
By default, the Windows process that runs an ASP.NET Web application
will be shut down every 29 hours (1740 minutes). This can cause performance
problems because the recycle time will sometimes occur during peak hours.
To set the Recycle Worker Process Settings for AgilePoint Server's IIS
Application Pool, do the following.
Prerequisites
- These instructions do
not apply to
the following installation scenarios:
- Windows Server 2008 or 2012
- AgilePoint BPMS for Azure
- In order for a the AgilePoint Server
to restart, the AgilePoint Server Monitor service must be
running.
Instructions
- On the Recycle tab, uncheck Recycle Worker
Processes (in minutes).
- If desired, select
Recycle worker processes at the following times, and then add
the times you want.
- In IIS, right-click the
AgilePoint Application Pool.
- On the Properties
dialog box, click the
Recycle tab.
- Uncheck
Recycle Worker Processes (in minutes).
- If desired, select
Recycle worker processes at the following times, and then add
the times you want.
Optionally, you can create a more customized schedule using the
Windows Task Scheduler.
