Why Do Some AgileShapes Show the Images from a Traditional Stencil?

Prerequisites

• AgilePoint v5.0 SP4 or higher is installed.

Symptoms

When you drag an AgileShape from the updated BPMS AgilePoint stencil onto a process template, the AgileShape does not have new image, instead it has a Traditional stencil image.

Cause

When you drag an AgileShape from the stencil onto the process template, Visio creates a copy of the AgileShape in the Document stencil. When you drag another instance of the same AgileShape into the process template, Visio actually uses the copy in the Document stencil to create the next shape instance.

The Document stencil contains the working copy of each AgileShape that you have used in the process template.

If you drag the AgileShape from the AgilePoint Traditional stencil, the AgileShape is saved as the master shape. This results in having the Traditional stencil image for succeeding drag and drop from the updated BPMS AgilePoint stencil.

Resolution

1. In AgilePoint Envision, open a process template.
2. Click More Shapes > Show Document Stencil.
3. In the Document Stencil, right-click your AgileShape.
4. Click Delete Master.
