Why Do Errors Occur in Internet Explorer 10?

Symptoms

When using AgilePoint components, such as Enterprise Manager or ASP.NET Web Parts, in Internet Explorer 10, errors occur.

The nature of the errors can vary, but common errors include dead links or script errors when loading a page.

Cause

A bug exists in your version of Internet Explorer 10.

This can be fixed by applying a hotfix or running IE 10 in a mode that is compatible with earlier versions of IE.

Download the following hotfix from Microsoft:

Resolution

1. In Internet Explorer 10, click Tools > Compatibility View Settings.
2. On the Compatibility View Settings window, select Display intranet sites in Compatibility View.
3. In the Add this website field, enter the name of your web site domain.
4. Click Add.
