Why Does an "Inaccessible Logs: Security" Error Occur When I Try to Associate a Workflow?

Symptoms

When trying to associate a SharePoint Library workflow or edit TaskListWebPart , the following error message occurs:

SecurityException: The source was not found, but some or all event logs could not be searched. Inaccessible logs: Security

Cause

This error occurs when AgilePoint SharePoint Integration tries to create an entry in the Windows Event Log, but the SharePoint Application pool account doesn't have sufficient privileges to the Event Log.
