Installing SharePoint Integration for .NET 4.0

Prerequisites

• AgilePoint BPMS for .NET 4.0 or Genesis for SharePoint 2013.
• AgilePoint Server installed on the AgilePoint Server machine.
• Your system meets the minimum system requirements for this component. For more information, see the System Requirements Guide.
• You have completed all of the pre-installation instructions for this component.
• If you are installing AgilePoint SharePoint Integration in a SharePoint server farm, you must select a SharePoint server you want to designate as the primary AgilePoint integration server. Document your decision. You will need to use the same machine for all AgilePoint SharePoint Integration installations and upgrades.

  You need only apply installation and upgrade procedures on this one primary server. The SharePoint software will propagate the changes to the other servers in your SharePoint farm.

• Login to Windows using a user login that belongs to the local system's Administrators group.
  Note: On some versions of Windows, such as Windows Server 2012, you may need to also right-click the Setup.exe installation file, and click Run as Administrator.
• Download the AgilePoint Installation Package for your solution to your local machine.

Navigation

1. Open the AgilePoint installation package.
2. On the Software License Agreement window, review the license agreement, and click Accept.
3. On the Destination Folder window, select the folder where you want to extract the installation files.
4. Click Install.
5. On the Welcome window, create your custom Preparing for Installation guide, if required.

Instructions

1. On the AgilePoint installer, click Install AgilePoint.
2. Click AgilePoint Integration for SharePoint.
3. On the Welcome window, select one of the following:
   • Yes - Installs AgileForms Integration for SharePoint. This requires a valid license key.
   • No - Skips AgileForms SharePoint Integration, and simply installs AgilePoint Integration for SharePoint.
4. Click Next.
5. On the SharePoint Integration Configuration window, enter the following information:

   Field Name	Definition
   AgilePoint Service URL	Specifies the AgilePoint Service URL for your AgilePoint BPMS environment. For more information, see Finding Your AgilePoint Service URL on Premises.
   Username	Definition: Specifies the user name for your AgilePoint service account. This account serves as your AgilePoint service account, your AgilePoint administrator account, and the account that AgilePoint uses to communicate with SharePoint. This account must be set up before entering the account information here. The AgilePoint installer cannot create this account for you. Allowed Values: A valid user name for an account with the required privileges detailed in Setting Up the AgilePoint Service Account.
   Domain	Definition: The authentication domain for the AgilePoint service account. Allowed Values: A valid domain.
   Password	Definition: The password for the AgilePoint service account. Allowed Values: A valid password.

6. Click Next.
7. On the Verifying System Requirements window:
   • If there are any errors, correct them. Once you have resolved the issue, click Recheck.

     Issue	Resolution
     A supported version of Microsoft SharePoint Server is installed.	Install and activate a supported version of Microsoft SharePoint Server. For more information, see System Requirements for AgilePoint SharePoint Integration.
     A supported version of Microsoft Forms Server is installed.	The AgilePoint installation program always checks for this because Microsoft Forms Server is required for InfoPath forms. However, InfoPath support is a paid add-on component that may not be included in your AgilePoint license. If you want to use InfoPath forms, ensure Microsoft Forms Server is up and running. If you are not using InfoPath forms, no action is required.
     SharePoint Administration Windows Service is running	Start the Windows service SharePoint Administration.
     SharePoint Timer Windows Service is running	Start the Windows Service SharePoint Timer.
     SharePoint Management Shell is available	This tool is installed with SharePoint. Reinstall SharePoint.
     SharePoint Web Application is available	Ensure at least one SharePoint web application is created. Ensure the SharePoint web application is up and running. Ensure the SharePoint web site can be browsed in Internet Explorer with no errors Ensure the AgilePoint Service account is a member of the the SharePoint Farm Administrators group, and the SharePoint Farm Administrator account has access to the SharePoint database. To ensure access, run the following PowerShell command on the primary SharePoint machine: Get-SPDatabase | Add-SPShellAdmin [domain]\[AgilePoint Service Account user name]
     SharePoint Farm Administrator Permissions are available	Add the SharePoint user (the AgilePoint service account) to the SharePoint Farm Administrators group. This is required only for SharePoint server farms.
     User Account Control (UAC) is turned off	Turn user access control (UAC) off. For more information, see Turning Off User Account Control (UAC).

   • If there are no errors, click Next.
8. In the Install Location section, enter the following information for SharePoint Integration for AgilePoint and, if required, SharePoint Integration for AgileForms:

   Field Name	Definition
   Install location	The folder where you want to install the AgilePoint component.

9. Click Next.
10. Once the installation has completed, click Next.
11. Select your SharePoint deployment type, and click Next:
    • Automatic Deployment - Installs AgilePoint SharePoint Integration with no intervention required from you. This option only applies when SharePoint is installed on a single server with a single web application.

      If you select this option, a list appears with all the SharePoint web applications on your machine. Select the SharePoint web application where you want to install AgilePoint components.

    • Manual Deployment - Does not install SharePoint. If you have more than one SharePoint web application and/or server, you will need to install SharePoint manually later.

12. If you deployed SharePoint Integration automatically, a status window appears. When this is complete, click Next.
13. Read the information on the summary window, and click Finish.
