Installing AgileForms Server for .NET 4.0

Prerequisites

• Your system meets the minimum system requirements for this component. For more information, see the System Requirements Guide.
• You have completed all of the pre-installation instructions for this component.
• Login to Windows using a user login that belongs to the local system's Administrators group.
  Note: On some versions of Windows, such as Windows Server 2012, you may need to also right-click the Setup.exe installation file, and click Run as Administrator.
• Download the AgilePoint Installation Package for your solution to your local machine.
• AgilePoint Server installed on the AgilePoint Server machine.

Navigation

1. Open the AgilePoint installation package.
2. On the Software License Agreement window, review the license agreement, and click Accept.
3. On the Destination Folder window, select the folder where you want to extract the installation files.
4. Click Install.
5. On the Welcome window, create your custom Preparing for Installation guide, if required.

Instructions

1. On the AgilePoint installer, click Install AgilePoint.
2. Click AgileForms Server.
3. On the Welcome window, click Next.
4. On the Verify System Requirements window:
   • If there are any errors, correct them. Once you have resolved the issue, click Recheck.

     Issue	Resolution
     Supported Operating system is installed	Install a supported operating system on this machine. For more information, see Requirements for AgileForms.
     IIS is available	Install and/or start IIS 6 or higher.
     IIS 6 Management Compatibility Role Service is active	Activate Management Compatibility Role Service on IIS 6 or higher. For more information, see Verifying the IIS 6 Management Compatibility Role Service.
     Supported version of the .NET Framework is installed	Install .NET Framework 4.0 on this machine. For more information, see System Requirements for AgileForms.
     Current user has administrator privilege	Log on to this machine as a user with administrator privileges.
     User Account Control (UAC) is turned off	Turn user access control (UAC) off. For more information, see Turning Off User Account Control (UAC).
     Windows Identify Foundation is installed	Install Windows Identity Foundation on this machine. For more information, see Windows Identity Foundation on the Microsoft Download Center.
     Port 81 is available.	This port is required for this component. Before you install, ensure no other applications are using this port.
     AgilePoint CSM is not installed on this machine	AgileForms Server cannot be installed on a machine where AgilePoint Server is running in an NLB environment. Please uninstall AgilePoint Server and the Cluster Server Manager (CSM) component, or install AgileForms Server on a different machine.

   • If there are no errors, click Next.
5. In the Install Location section, enter the following information:

   Field Name	Definition
   Install location	The folder where you want to install the AgilePoint component.

6. Click Next.
7. On the AgileForms Server Installation window, complete the following fields:

   Field Name	Definition
   Domain	Definition: The authentication domain for the AgilePoint service account. Allowed Values: A valid domain.
   Username	Definition: Specifies the user name for your AgilePoint service account. This account serves as your AgilePoint service account, your AgilePoint administrator account, and the account that AgilePoint uses to communicate with SharePoint. This account must be set up before entering the account information here. The AgilePoint installer cannot create this account for you. Allowed Values: A valid user name for an account with the required privileges detailed in Setting Up the AgilePoint Service Account.
   Password	Definition: The password for the AgilePoint service account. Allowed Values: A valid password.
   AgilePoint Service URL	Specifies the AgilePoint Service URL for your AgilePoint BPMS environment. For more information, see Finding Your AgilePoint Service URL on Premises.

8. To specify a web site for AgileForms Server, do one of the following.
   • To use an existing web site on your machine:
     1. Click Use an existing website.
     2. To populate the list of web sites on your machine, click the Ellipses button.
     3. In the list, select your web site.
   • To create a new web site:
     1. Click Create a new website.
     2. Enter the name for the web site you want to create.
     3. In the Port field, enter the port number for your new web site.
9. Click Next.
10. Once the AgileForms prerequisites are completed, click Next.
11. Once the installation has completed, click Next.
12. On the AgilePoint Server Configuration window, enter the following information for your AgilePoint database.

    Field Name	Definition
    Database Server	Definition: Specifies the server name and domain for the AgilePoint workflow database. Allowed Values: A valid database server name (or service name in Oracle) Default Value: AP_Workflow_DB Example: mydatabase mydatabase/sharepoint
    Windows Authentication	Definition: Specifies whether the database connection uses Windows authentication. Allowed Values: Selected - The database connection uses Windows Authentication, and the machine's authenticated user connects to the database server. If this option is selected, the User and Password fields are not required. Deselected - The database connection does not use Windows authentication.
    User	Definition: The user name for the database account AgilePoint Server uses to connect to the database. Allowed Values: A valid user name for the database. Default Value: sa
    Password	Definition: The password for the authentication account. Allowed Values: A valid password. Default Value: None

13. For each database, complete the following fields to specify your database:
    • To use an existing database on your database server:
      1. Click Use an existing database.
      2. To populate the list of databases on your machine, click Connect.
      3. In the list, select your database.
    • To create a new database on your database server:
      1. Click Create a new database.
      2. Enter the name for the database you want to create.

14. Click Next.
15. Once AgileForms Server configuration has completed, click Next.
16. To activate the component, click the activation link.
17. Click Finish.
18. On the AchieveForms activation page, follow the on-screen instructions to activate AgileForms.
