Installing AgilePoint Envision for .NET 4.0

Prerequisites

• Your system meets the minimum system requirements for this component. For more information, see the System Requirements Guide.
• You have completed all of the pre-installation instructions for this component.
• If AgilePoint Server is not installed on the same computer that you will be installing on, it should be installed and running on a server that you can access via the internet from the computer where you are installing.

Navigation

1. Open the AgilePoint installation package.
2. On the Software License Agreement window, review the license agreement, and click Accept.
3. On the Destination Folder window, select the folder where you want to extract the installation files.
4. Click Install.
5. On the Welcome window, create your custom Preparing for Installation guide, if required.

Instructions

1. On the AgilePoint installer, click Install AgilePoint.
2. Click the link for AgilePoint Envision.
3. On the Welcome window, select one of the following:
   • Yes - Installs the AgileForms Envision Add-On. This requires a valid AgileForms license key.
   • No - Skips installation for the AgileForms Envision Add-On, and only installs AgilePoint Envision.
4. Click Next.
5. On the Verify System Requirements window:
   • If there are any errors, correct them. Once you have resolved the issue, click Recheck.

     Issue	Resolution
     Supported version of Visio is installed	Install a supported version of Microsoft Visio on this machine. For more information, see System Requirements for AgilePoint Envision.
     Supported version of the .NET Framework is installed	Install .NET Framework 4.0 on this machine. For more information, see AgilePoint Envision Requirements.
     .NET Programmability Support is installed.	Re-install Microsoft Visio with .NET Programmability Support enabled.
     Current user has administrator privilege	Log on to this machine as a user with administrator privileges.
     User Account Control (UAC) is turned off	Turn user access control (UAC) off. For more information, see Turning Off User Account Control (UAC).

   • If there are no errors, click Next.
6. On the AgilePoint Envision Installation window, enter the following information:

   Field Name	Definition
   Install location	The folder where you want to install the AgilePoint component.
   Name	Your first and last name.
   Organization	The name of your organization, or company.
   License Key	Your AgilePoint Envision license key.

7. Click Next.
8. Once the installation has completed, click Next.
9. If you selected Yes to install the AgileForms Envision Add-On, do the following:
   1. On the AgileForms Envision Add-On Installation window, select the folder where you want to install the AgileForms Add-On.
   2. Click Next.
   3. Once the installation has completed, click Next.
10. Once the installation is complete, click Finish.
11. Restart the machine.

    This is optional, but recommended. Rarely AgilePoint users have reported an issue with shortcuts not displaying if the machine is not restarted. There are no other known issues if you do not restart the machine. Windows sometimes prompts to restart, and sometimes not. This is determined by the operating system.

12. To open AgilePoint Envision click Start > Programs > AgilePoint > AgilePoint Envision.
