Adding a User to a SharePoint Group

To add a user to a SharePoint group, do the following.

Prerequisites

Navigation

  1. In AgilePoint Envision, open a process template.
  2. Navigate to the SharePoint stencil.
  3. On the SharePoint stencil, drag the Add User to SP Group AgileShape, and drop it on the process template.
  4. To view the entire list of properties, in the Design Tasks pane, click Show Properties.
  5. On the AddUserToGroup Configuration field, click the Ellipses button.

Instructions

  1. On the Add User from Group Configuration window, complete the following required fields:
    Field Name Definition

    Site URL

    Definition:
    Specifies the URL for your SharePoint site.
    Allowed Values:
    A valid SharePoint site URL.
    Default Value:
    None
    Custom Attributes:
    Yes
    Example:
    http://mysharepoint:8000/sites/${mysite}

    Group Name

    Definition:
    The name of the SharePoint group you want.
    Allowed Values:
    A valid SharePoint group name.
    Default Value:
    None
    Custom Attributes:
    Yes

    User Name

    Definition:
    Specifies the user name to be added to the SharePoint group.
    Allowed Values:
    A user name, including the domain name, in the following format:

    [domain]\[user name]

    Default Value:
    None
    Custom Attributes:
    Yes
    Example:
    MyDomain\Administrator

    Email Address

    Definition:
    The user's email address.
    Allowed Values:
    A valid email address.
    Default Value:
    None
    Custom Attributes:
    Yes
