Reading a Text File from a Process

Prerequisites

• A target schema node to upload the contents of the file.

Good to Know

• The process using this AgileShape must have an associated schema.

Navigation

1. In AgilePoint Envision, open a process template.
2. Navigate to the Miscellaneous stencil.
3. On the Miscellaneous stencil, drag the Read File AgileShape, and drop it on the process template.
4. To view the entire list of properties, in the Design Tasks pane, click Show Properties.
5. On the Configure field, click the Ellipses button.

Instructions

1. On the Read File Configuration Window, complete the following fields as required:

   Field Name	Definition
   Schema Node	Definition: Specifies the schema node you want to upload the file data. Allowed Values: An XPath to a schema node. You can use the Ellipses button to select the required schema from the Select XPath from Attributes Window. Default Value: None Custom Attributes: Yes
   File Path	Definition: Specifies the path of the file on the local file system that includes the content you want to upload to the schema node. Allowed Values: The file name with the full path. Note the following: The file must be a text file. You can use the Ellipses button to select the file. Default Value: None Custom Attributes: No

2. Complete any additional configuration for this AgileShape according to your requirements:
