Set Up Oracle Database Authentication

If you are using an Oracle database, do the following.

Prerequisites

These instructions do not apply to the following installation scenarios:
- Microsoft SQL Server

Obtain the user name and password of the Oracle database user.
Obtain the Service Name of the Oracle database.
Using the Oracle Net Configuration Assistant utility, reconfigure the Oracle Local Service if necessary.

If the Local Service Name has changed, you will need to also update the AgilePoint Server Configuration utility Database tab during the AgilePoint installation with the new Oracle Local Service Name. The steps are provided in the installation guide as a reminder.
