Allow AgilePoint Server to Access Exchange Server Data

Objective

Describes how to grant AgilePoint Server sufficient privileges to be able to update Exchange Server data (e.g. in order to update exchange users' Outlook Tasks).

Summary

In order for AgilePoint Server to be able to add or modify any Exchange Server data, the user account that AgilePoint Server uses as its "System User" must be granted "Full Mailbox Access" privileges for Microsoft Exchange Server.

Resolution

Please follow the steps below to grant a windows user account "Full Mailbox Access" privileges for Microsoft Exchange Server:

1. Log on to the system that Microsoft Exchange Server is installed on.
2. Run Start > Programs > Microsoft Exchange > Active Directory Users and Computers
3. Click on the node for your domain, then navigate to the Users node.

   

4. Select the user you want to grant privileges to, then Right-Click the user and select Properties
5. Click the Exchange Advanced tab.

   

6. Click the Mailbox Rights button
7. Grant the user the 'Full mailbox access' right
8. Click OK
